When you see fresh snow on the ground that hasn't even been walked on yet, what do you think of? I think of a fresh start, peace, serenity, unshaken, and a promise. For example: About a week ago we had a pretty strong snowstorm, and as it was falling, it felt brutal, it looked brutal, and was very brutal trying to move around in it, but when it finally stopped it left a beautiful, and serene coating of white behind.
The next day I happen to be walking around ,sporting my camera around my neck searching for that perfect picture. I looked around my neighborhood for awhile but really couldn't find that perfect picture so I was about to give up. I didn't find what I was looking for till the next day after I got out of work.
Around three thirty or so as I was walking up my front stairs to my porch, I looked over my left shoulder and saw the perfect picture that inspired me to write this blog. There was a few shadows and a couple of random sticks laying there in my front yard, but the snow was not interrupted, not even an animal foot print was in the snow. To me it was beautiful! So I walked into my house, and grabbed my camera and took a couple of pictures.
This shot I think was the better of the two so I published it to my blog. I think this picture tells the story best.
This is the way in a lot of cases God works in our lives. When we go through many trials and tribulations that can be very hurtful and very challenging, and we just want to give up. Just like getting stuck traveling in a bad snowstorm you want to give up, your scared, and your challenged, and you just want to get to the other side without the suffering, but then God says" just trust Me, you will be alright, I promise." "I am the One who will give you that peace, that serenity, and that promise, and nobody else in the world can do that for you The way that I can."
" I will carry you through all of your trials and tribulations of your life I always have and I always will. " This is what God says.
Here are some verses of scripture for who ever reads this to meditate on. I get these scripture verses from the NASB Bible.
2 Kings 20: 19
Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, " The word of the Lord which you have spoken is good." For he thought , " Is it not so, if there will be peace and truth in my days?"
Hebrews 6: 13-14
13 For when God made the promise to Abraham, since He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, 14 Saying, " I will surely bless you and I will surely multiply you."
Mark 4:39
And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, " Hush be still." And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm.
